<p>In a great article by <a href="http://www.mediapost.com/publications/?fa=Articles.showArticle&amp;art_aid=105767">Matt Walsh</a>, he points out that Forrester Media Research is predicting that advertisers spending within social media will increase 70% in 2009 ($391 million).  In the realm of interactive marketing this is the highest growth rate;  mobile is close behind at 60% predicted spending growth.  Social Media also is the pace setter looking out to 2014 where it is predicted to continue at a growth of 34% to get to 3.1 billion.  In comparison, the total online media industry is expected to grow 11% in 2009 and 17% by 2014 which is healthy growth but pales in comparison to social media.   Read the full article <span class="articleHeadline" style="text-decoration:none;"><a href="http://www.mediapost.com/publications/?fa=Articles.showArticle&amp;art_aid=105767">Forrester: Interactive Marketing To Grow 11% To $25.6 Billion in 2009</a></span></p>
